ConeCraft Integrated Systems
ConeCraft designs and builds high-quality, custom-engineered equipment for manufacturers of pharmaceutical and biotech products. They design and build single pieces of equipment as well as fully integrated systems.
They also offer engineering and consulting services. ConeCraft expertise encompasses all aspects of powder handling, including storage, controlled dispensing, blending and packaging.
ConeCraft is a certified ASME Code Shop with a successful history of designing and fabricating equipment. Their facility is dedicated to bright metals manufacturing to prevent carbon steel contamination of our products.
Powder Bins
Stainless steel Bins, or Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs), are used for powder and dry material handling and storage. Bins are useful for moving product around facilities as well as blending or conditioning product inside the bin using a blender. The product may be discharged into a process by placing the bin onto a discharge station.
ConeCraft offers the standard industry bin dimensions as well as bins customized to meet individual process requirements.
Blenders
Blenders are used for in-bin blending. The primary benefit to in-bin blending is containment of the product in the bin while achieving blend uniformity. The bin can be filled with multiple ingredients and then placed in the blender to create a uniform mixture. The same bin can then be moved directly into the process for discharge.
Multiple blend parameters allow an unlimited number of products to have validated blend results. There is no need to clean the blender in between blend cycles because all of the product is contained within the bin. The potential of cross contamination during blending is eliminated.
The ConeCraft Tabletop Blender is intended for customers who need a small scale blender or who want to perform blending trials to determine quality of bin blending. Laboratory bins are proportionally scaled down to represent full size bins and duplicate blending performance. The Tabletop Blender simply uses 120V AC power and is available for purchase or rental from ConeCraft.
Discharge Stations
Discharge stations allow for the controlled transfer of product from bins. Stations vary in complexity, ranging from a simple stand elevating a bin to a fully automated system.
An automated discharge station may integrate valve operation with the call for product from downstream process equipment. Automatic valve operation may be coupled with vibration, feedback from load cells and level indication.
Wash Stations
The ConeCraft Wash Station is designed to wash and dry bins quickly and economically. Their innovative design washes bins more quickly and consumes less power and water than traditional wash stations.
A number of options are available on the ConeCraft wash station. An industrial wash station simply rinses the bin, whereas a pharmaceutical-grade station is fully automated and uses HEPA filtered air and purified water.
Tilts
Tilts are used to discharge drums and bins. They can also be used for inspection and cleaning. The portable unit shown is easily moved and fits through a standard doorway. Tilts are pneumatic or more be electrically or hydraulically driven.
Jacketed Bag Stations
Jacketed bag holders help maintain a target temperature range required for many processes. ConeCraft is an ASME Certified Code Shop. We offer U-Stamp Certification on our jacketed vessels. Our welders are qualified to ASME Code.
